The National Endoscopy Database (NED) is a joint initiative between Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on gastrointestinal endoscopy, British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS) and Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI), owned and hosted by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP). The NED committee oversees the development and progression of NED. The committee is comprised of JAG staff and a committed team of representatives from the following groups:

Since the very beginning, the NED committee has worked together with the main ERS companies to support the implementation and roll out of NED nationally. Continued work on improving NED data permits a culture of continuous learning, quality improvement and innovation.
