Requirements for delivering training

Requirements for training centres

JAG have a number of regional training centres in the UK that deliver training courses. Any training centre can apply to become a JAG approved training centre, provided they meet a number of requirements. Before submitting an application, please review the JAG approved Regional Training centre requirements.

Once your service has reviewed the training centre requirements. You will need to complete the application form and return it to askjag@rcp.ac.uk
Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the JAG office and sent for approval to the JAG training chair and the federation of training centres lead. When the application has been approved the training centre will be added on the JETS website and invited to join the Federation of training centres group.

All training centres are required to pay an annual subscription of £1,000 +VAT. Please note this is separate to the JAG annual subscription which services pay as registration to the JAG programme.

All centres are required to maintain their JAG accreditation status or meet level B in certain domains of the GRS in order to remain as a training centre.

Requirements for endoscopy training academies

Immersion endoscopy training is increasingly being delivered through academies and preliminary outcomes suggest many of these models are very successful as a means of delivering endoscopy training. We strongly encourage any units delivering immersion training that do not have JAG accreditation or meet the stated GRS requirements to engage with JAG in developing a plan to achieve this. Please review the JAG endoscopy training academies requirements for further information on the requirements.
